History

The Baggett family preserved and cared for both land and home for generations (since the late 1800’s). The family patriarch was a surveyor by trade and was gifted the land by L&N Railroad. He used heart pine lumber cut from this land to construct the entire space. You can still see the original siding today.Built in the breezeway/dog trot style indicative of the era, the family left the exterior/interior largely untouched to include the central pass-thru and many of the original rooms.
