History
Steeped in Brunswick’s boat building heritage is Pennellville. Thomas Pennell (1812-1909), his wife Julia (1814-1882) and their family of five sons and five daughters established this community and built a legacy over two centuries, constructing over 90 tall ships for transatlantic trade! The Pennell House at 236 Pennellville, affectionately referred to as ”the little white cottage,” has been lovingly preserved over the years to create an elegant and charming home.
